4) Linking Verb

• Berfungsi menghubungkan subject (noun / pronoun) dengan predicate (noun / adjective)
• pronoun subject : i, you, we, they, he, she, it
• noun : kata benda
• adjective : kata sifat 
• Strukturnya : subjek (noun / pronoun) + linking verb + objek (noun / adjective)
• Contoh linking verb : am, is, are, was, were
• Jadi selain bisa digunakan untuk auxiliary verb dalam menyusun tenses tertentu, "am, is, are, was, were" juga bisa digunakan sebagai linking verb

Contoh penggunaan linking verb

• Winter is terrible 
•  I am happy
• They are students
• The book is on the table
• She is kind
